Californian artist/producer Julian Roy teamed up with rapper Gaël on his newest single, “hold you up”. The R&B/soul track is lifted from Roy’s upcoming debut album.

That album is expected to drop in June and will be preceded by a series of monthly singles.

With “hold you up”, Julian playfully pays tribute to women.

I wanted to release this during women’s month, about holding women up, being there for them, playful but wholesome, genuine lyrics. I grew up with a strong feminist mom and always been a strong supporter of women. (I) wrote this song during women’s march 2022, recorded with D Mills,” he says.
