Californian artist/producer Julian Roy teamed up with rapper Gaël on his newest single, “hold you up”. The R&B/soul track is lifted from Roy’s upcoming debut album.

That album is expected to drop in June and will be preceded by a series of monthly singles.

With “hold you up”, Julian playfully pays tribute to women.

“I wanted to release this during women’s month, about holding women up, being there for them, playful but wholesome, genuine lyrics. I grew up with a strong feminist mom and always been a strong supporter of women. (I) wrote this song during women’s march 2022, recorded with D Mills,” he says.
