On their new track “Atlantis”, Australian dream pop duo Charm of Finches created an emotion-imbued cinematic soundscape. This single offers listeners the first taste of the outfit’s upcoming fourth album.

Charm of Finches consists of Mabel and Ivy, two sisters who are based out of Melbourne, AU. However, the creation of this song took them to the secluded woods of Nova Scotia, Canada, where, together with Canadian producer Daniel Ledwell, they weaved this string-laden moody piece. The music video was filmed on a frozen lake next the recording studio.

“’Atlantis’ is a place to retreat to when overcome by intense emotions. We’ve witnessed friends we care about sinking into dark places, like being underwater. Water has always been a recurring motif in our music to express the fluidity and intensity of feeling,” Charm of Finches says.
