Salt Lake City native Kaia Jette’s passionate songwriting is on showcase on her latest single, “Breakdown”. Released last month, the track blends epic rock instrumentation with soulful melodies and a touch of pop lustre. At its core, “Breakdown” is a dark anthem for those moments of mental health crisis.

“‘Breakdown’ is about feeling a panic attack come on,” Kaia shares, adding: “Sonically, it has a contrast of light and airy vocals during the verse, a build and then a huge chorus drop with a powerful belting hook.“

The singer is gifted with a powerful voice, which is brought to the fore on this project. Last year, Jette impressed fans and tastemakers alike with her debut album, Apollo — that album includes the hit single, “Medusa”.
