2026 is shaping up to be a massive year for TEHYA, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter and martial artist from Canada.

In February, she released what has turned to be her breakout song: “It’s You”. The music video dropped last weekend, and it was a truly rewarding experience for the fans who’d been waiting eagerly.

“Burn For Me”, the follow-up single, is actually my favourite song from TEHYA so far. The catchy and passionate indie-pop tune highlights her polished songwriting and effortless delivery.

About the new single, the singer shares: “It captures that almost desperate desire to be wanted just as deeply as you want someone else, a feeling that’s super personal but also universally relatable. What I think is most unique about it is that it looks into the uglier side of that emotion, where longing turns into frustration and your thoughts get messy.“

When you consider that we’re barely halfway through the year and TEHYA has already dropped two such amazing songs, it becomes clear why she’s generating so much buzz.
