Tilsen‘s “Train To Vienna” was inspired by a real-life breakup experience, with the title referring to the exact location of the split. The lyrics do provide a vivid backdrop, enhancing the track’s cinematic feel.

“The song captures that moment of knowing you have to leave someone even when you still care about them, and trusting that eventually, you’ll both be better off,” Tilsen says about the emotive alt-pop song.

“Train To Vienna” was written alongside Bryn McCutcheon and Kirstyn Johnson and produced by 444BOY.

Tilsen, who hails from Toronto, captured my attention with her 2022 single, “In My Body“. The last few years have seen her get better and better — she released her debut album, George Street Diary in 2024.

“Train To Vienna” is another amazing recording from an artist who never ceases to impress. Listen and follow Tilsen on Instagram.
