South African artist Lee Cole has figured out how to navigate pop music’s ever-changing landscape. He’s one singer whose music I’ve learnt not to skip.

For his debut EP, the Cape Town native has crafted a heartfelt collection built around candid lyrics and polished production. Thus, Letters to Myself, Pt. 1 is quite a befitting title.

Cole had teased the EP with singles like “Fool” and “Risk”. Three new tracks arrived with the project, with the focus track “Honest” being a standout.

Letters to Myself, Pt. 1 closes with the euphoric “Something About You”. I find it short but quite captivating.
