In July, Tender Glue (also known as Tom) and Lavender Bones (a.k.a. Janice), two artists with totally different musical backgrounds, debuted a new collaborative project called Eventually Flowers.

“Nai” was the duo’s first single. Two more tracks have since been released, the latest being “As You Grow”.

To get a state of their style, you need to listen to “As You Grow”. Tom penned this soul-stirring piece many years ago. The melody-driven indie rock song delves into the contradictions of human nature.

“The song is about learning to live with those contradictions. About realizing there are a hundred ways to fall apart, and just as many ways to hide who we are. About understanding that growing up doesn’t necessarily mean figuring everything out. Sometimes it means accepting that good and evil, love and hate, beauty and destruction can exist within the same person,” says Tom.
