From the addictive chorus to the honest lyrics to the soothing vocal delivery, “Recovering Romantic” is a sweetly, groovy indie-pop track. Written and sung by Canadian vocalist and pianist Mike Evin, who is supported Ian MacKay (drums/percussion), Howie Beck (percussion/electric guitar, synth), Dennis Mohammed (bass) and “Give Up The Ghost”-singer, Stacey Kaniuk (backup vocals), the song talks about the thrilling vulnerability associated with love. Dominated by a percussive piano melody, this song was produced/mixed by Howie Beck and mastered by Joao Carvalho.
