Late last year, celebrated Kenyan producer, songwriter and artist Blinky Bill got to drop his first international, solo album, Everyone’s Just Winging It And Other Fly Tales. The 12-track project was released on The Garden, a French-based record label and distributed by Sony Music Entertainment’s The Orchard Music. One of the album’s most popular tracks, “Mungu Halali” has now received a visual treatment. The groovy, soulful, funky and pop-inflected song features vocalists Sage, Sarah Mitaru, Wambura Mitaru and Lisa Oduor Noah. Its heartfelt composition and addictive vocal harmonies get the listener emotionally engaged. “Mungu Halali” is the third song off the album to get an accompanying visual, the others being “Don’t Worry” and “Showdown” featuring MVROE and Kiwango.

A founding member of Just A Band, the innovative Blinky has been influential in shaping the country’s urban sound and this new album, embedded below via Spotify, is enough to illustrate that claim.
