Keeping their signature infectious melodies, The Drives return with a new single, “Keep Warm”. The indie-rock band has, since its formation in 2017, been keeping their fans musically and lyrically engaged. Their previous single release was “Rebel” and the outfit (which is comprised of singer/guitarist, Andrew Levin and producer/songwriter Casey Chen) once again imbues elements of electronic pop into their sweetly groovy tune.
“‘Keep Warm’ addresses the point when you admit to yourself you’re in love with someone and want to be around them constantly. Even if there’s nothing to do, the idea of being bored with that person is impossible to even imagine. It can be a scary moment, but also liberating, to put yourself out there and potentially be destroyed if they don’t feel the same way, but this is the point where you really have no choice anymore, so I guess fuck it.” ~ The Drives
The Drives’ debut single came in form of “Tell Me”. They have also released an EP, Am I Alright? which they supported with live gigs around Los Angeles, California, in The US.
