Merlot Embargo is a Los Angeles based music collective co-led by Scarlet and Geoff, a singer/songwriter and guitarist/producer duo, who also happens to be wife and husband. The outfit is completed by musicians Jeremy (bassist) and Lonn (drummer) and video game composers Dave and Ben. Handling everything in-house within their home studio, the group continues to create great music which they then perform around the Southern California region of the US.

Their latest effort is the cover of bananarama‘s classic song “Cruel Summer”. Arriving alongside a beautiful music video, this version is going to be quite refreshing for the indie-pop fans.
