With their newest single “Wanna Go”, American pop trio Jimkata have a gem in their hands. Alongside its colourful music video, the song generally has a leaning towards eccentric. Analog synths and rhythmic basslines form the basis of the multi-layered instrumentation. The singers’ inviting vocals and harmonies sound perfect enough for the interesting lyrics. “Wanna Go” talks about the negative impacts of social media on one’s sense of social value.
