Johnny Burgos‘ latest track “Love Bird” was released on Bright Basement Records. This single marks the Brooklyn-based American musician’s first release on the label.

“Love Bird” is a sweet slice of retro-soul. The song is about allowing someone you love to be free.

Johnny says, “Co-produced by Supremo Massiv, ‘Love Bird’ came from acknowledging that I’m someone who challenges the current standards of a ‘healthy loving’ relationship. I believe we’re capable of profound love for a partner, through which we can accept not meeting all of their needs, and find a place within ourselves to allow them to be fulfilled. This song in particular is equally about me finding acceptance for a partner who needs to roam as well as being the needy one, asking to roam.“
