New York artist and producer DD Walker has a penchant for making catchy anthems. His latest is no different.

The song is called “White Lies” and is a blissful alternative indie-pop banger. DD made his debut in 2018 with “Malibu”, a song that has raked in close to 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone.

“White Lies” was created together with producer Andew Maury, with Josh Freese (drums) and Santos (bass) also sprinkling their magic on the track.

I iterate forever on new music before it’s released. After a long time of whittling at this pile of demos I accumulated from my first EP onward, this opening lead guitar was something I kept coming back to, playing in my room and meditating on. The way the guitars and motifs cycle around themselves led me to the ruminating lyrics – opening up about fear of losing people and being with myself for better and worse,” Walker says about the creative process leading to this song.
