Muktarh delivers hard-hitting debut single, “Young Bad Boy”

It’s an explosive entry into the music scene for Muktarh as the Nigerian rapper delivers his debut single, “Young Bad Boy”. Channelling the energy of his music idols DMX and Tupac Shakur, this newcomer created a track that is both hard-hitting and catchy.

With gritty-yet-charismatic lyrics, and a rap style heavily influenced by Nigerian pop music, “Young Bad Boy” has hip hop at its core. The NakedBeatz-produced track is built around a simple melody, punchy beats and a booming bassline.

Muktarh says, “The song is a dedication to the hustle and what it takes to become a success. As someone striving for success, there are a lot of hurdles, and you just have to be ready to find a way through.

The Lagos-bred emcee continues, “I wanted the song to have elements of hip-hop but it also had to reflect where I’m from, who I am, and the realities of life as I see it. That’s why there’s an indigenous feel to it and even though it sounds like that, it’s also an encouragement for people not to let their heads go and give up.

Only released a couple of days ago, this song was received positively, and has all the hallmarks of a hit. Muktarh is definitely an artist to watch. Listen to “Young Bad Boy” and follow the artist on Instagram.
