London’s Nick Howe released his third single of 2025 a little while back. The song is called “Airplane Mode” and comes wrapped in delicate indie-folk melodies. It is a raw, emotive piece that exemplifies Nick’s honesty-driven songwriting.

The singer reveals: “We were breaking up as we were having our first child. This song tells the raw story of that moment—and hints at the journey of trying to bring my family back together.”

It is only last year that I heard Howe’s music for the first time. At that time, the artist had just shared “Last Word” feat. Alice Hills. This new song is just as moving.
