“Kiss Harder” completes the rollout off Sulene’s new EP, Fire Escaping

On March 6, South African bedroom pop singer-songwriter Sulene unveiled her sophomore EP, Fire Escaping. Released on Sleep Well Records, the 4-song project is the follow-up to her 2017 debut release Strange. The single “Kiss harder” was the last to drop (on the same day as the EP). Itself, it’s a blissful tune which, however, is quite intriguing lyrically.

“The song lyrics were written unexpectedly and were the catalyst for realizing a relationship I was in was probably not going to work out. I was super inspired by Madonna’s album True Blue when I worked on the production for this song while doing a writer residency at a studio in Portland, Oregon.”

Fire Escaping is available for streaming below.
