Thika-based Kenyan artists Nzau and Oduh RLando (a.k.a Orlando) recently released another collaborative effort they named “Pod Apek”. It’s a melodic rap record which carries an injection of R&B/pop vibes. ‘Pod Apek’ is a Luo phrase that one usually uses to assert his/her dominance (and was notably popularized by rapper Luodollar on “Bank Otuch”, his 2016 single with Octopizzo).
The two newcomers, on their part, add a new swagger to the phrase as they braggadociously trade bars over a flavourful Nzau-produced track. Instances of brilliance punctuates each artist’s delivery.
