New Release Friday: 14 new songs out on May 29th

Aipate‘s weekly roundup of new songs (released on May 29th) dubbed ‘New Release Friday’ is back with 14 tracks ranging from pop to rock to dance to hip-hop.

Saint Raymond – “Right Way Round”

With his new single “Right Way Round”, British artist Saint Raymond embodies pop excellence. The song is so catchy yet it retains a deep underlying message. “Right Way Round” is uplifting and addresses people struggling with life’s intricacies. The synth-laden pop track precedes Raymond’s forthcoming second album which is scheduled for release next year via Cooking Vinyl.

Anna Sofia – “Either Way”

Emotions and attitude: those are the two things we love about Anna Sofia‘s songs. With her latest named “Either Way”, the teenage singer-songwriter crafts a gorgeous tune which exhibits her attractive vocals and memorable lyrics. The track’s melodic keys guides her as she delivers wholeheartedly. After her debut EP Self Aware Bitch, Anna is already working on the next, with “Either Way” being the first single on that upcoming project.

Aman Sheriff – “Rest”

Dubai-based singer-songwriter and producer Aman Sheriff‘s new single “Rest” comes on the other side of his Los Angeles tour. While there, the 21-year-old artist got to grace the stage at a couple of shows. This new song oozes a new level of musical maturity as he delivers gripping melancholic pop. Backed by a combination of organic and electronic instrumentation, “Rest” is heartfelt and emotion-imbued.

GTFD x Jackie Paladino – “Soothe The Soul”

Hip-hop duo GTFD (made up of iNTeLL and PXWER) linked up with New York city based singer Jackie Paladino for this powerful new song, “Soothe The Soul”. The track carries heavy bars laid over a soulful track produced by 88-Keys. The emcees flaunt their Wu-Tang heritage as they pay homage to the classic rap era. Jackie’s angelic vocals adds a beautiful layer to “Soothe The Soul”.

Kahone Concept – “Maybe”

Kahone Concept is the brainchild of 22-year-old Pittsburgh-based musician Ben Orrvick. The pop/rock outfit has shared a new single named “Maybe”. It’s a somber piece driven by lovely piano keys. The song is the follow-up to Ben’s 2020 single, “Attention Addict”. It is accompanied by a creatively done video directed by Janco Swart.

Unruly Mane – “Fire”

Husband-wife duo Unruly Mane are sharing their first song in about 4 years. “Fire” is an upbeat tune which has quite a profound message. According to the outfit, it talks about ‘resilience, forging your own path, and unlocked potential.’ The track is heavy on the guitar, which gives it its delicious flavour. Unruly Mane are working on their sophomore album set to drop later.

Muddy Wolfe – “High & Dry”

Canberra-based Australian band Muddy Wolfe have just released a new EP, Muddy Wolfe (Volume 2). To get a feel of the project, we’re highlighting the song song “High & Dry”. This is a blues/rock tune with awesome riffs and beautiful and appreciative lyrics. Muddy Wolfe comprises Steve Smith (guitar & vocals), Kim Yang (guitar & vocals), Jonah Myers (keys/organ), Dean James (bass) and Aidan Bairstow (drums) and recently striked a deal with 2410 Records.

Alma Grace – “Fine Lines”

Pop singer Alma Grace is releasing her third single, “Fine Lines”. This is the follow-up to her single “You Are Here” and is a vulnerable piece. It brings out the activist in her as she uses art to tackles sexual assault. “Fine Lines” is bold and thought-provoking.

KEHLI – “Hypnotized”

Irish pop singer KEHLI re-engages us with her great talent as she drops another single titled “Hypnotized”. With its earworm of a hook, the song is so infectious and addictive. It finds KEHLI expressing her desire towards a love interest. The electro-pop record is vibrant and peppy. It was produced by Kid Eternal and Angelssön and is now out on the label Rough Bones.

Pawl & Discrete – “In My Heart”

The dynamic partnership between Swedish artists Pawl (singer) and Discrete (producer) is sustained as they serve us another banger. “In My Heart” is a deep house and pop hybrid tune and is heartwarmingly euphoric. From the hook to chord progression to the vocals, “In My Heart” is pure bluss. It’s one of those songs you will struggle to get out of your head.

Mia Mormino – “Beware”

LA-based artist and dancer Mia Mormino returns with another dance-pop tune she’s called “Beware”. It is a song about reestablishing your self worth and not letting yourself be taken advantage of again. The melodies, synths and bass combine to give the track quite a captivating tune. Cloudy June – “Psycho”


German artist Cloudy June is following up her last single “High Waist to Hell” with another great pop tune. The new one is called “Psycho” and infuses rock elements. Whether you’re a new fan or have been following her for some time, the song should be enjoyable.

Mia Sayoko – “Apologies”

Japanese YouTube blogger and Instagram influencer Mia Sayoko is showing us her talents as an artist with this new song, “Apologies”. It’s an interesting piece that finds her regretting putting herself in a situation to be emotionally manipulated. She now maintains that she is only sorry for her unreasonable apologies. ‘Unapologetically apologetic’, if you will!

The Satellite Station – “Brave”

“Brave” is the latest from Ohio-based folk/pop singer-songwriter The Satellite Station (also known as Travis Rue. The song discloses his personal struggles with Imposter Syndrome. Travis usually creates songs which are haunting yet quite catchy and that’s simply how “Brave” feels. Musically, it is a blend of indie-pop and indie-folk.
