Canadian singer and rapper Jhyve revealed a new song two weeks or so ago. Calling it “Optional”, the Toronto-based artist created a funky, R&B/soul track with electronic influences. Its marvellous production, catchy hook and croonsome vocals make the song so seductive, just like Jhyve’s lyrics.

The artist wrote the song back in 2018 not long after he’d received a Juno Awards nod. A while back, he stumbled on the old demo and felt he had to re-record “Optional”.
