Young indie-pop artist AVIV shared her latest single a little more than a week ago. “Running Shoes” is the name of the folk-influenced song.

With this one, the teenage Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist weaved a sentimental tale about young love. Her heartfelt vocals and delicate melodies will make you play this track on repeat.

“‘Running Shoes’ represents an escape,” AVIV explains. “They symbolize a gateway to comfort and sanity. In this case, to someone who provides these amenities. It’s the impulsive desire to just put your shoes on and run to safety.“
