At last, Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist Hamish Anderson’s highly anticipated full-length release, ELECTRIC, has arrived. The album features twelve songs that fuse blues, rock and soul. It was immediately preceded by the single, “Brighter Days”.
Commenting on that song, Hamish Anderson remarked: “Overall I hope ‘Brighter Days’ is a song that gives whoever’s listening to it a bit of hope. It shows the other side of my album ELECTRIC. It’s an emotional song that takes inspiration from Al Green, and STAX era soul. While there’s a lot of blues and rock and roll throughout the album, there is also a lot of soul and this new single really lives in that world.”
Self-released, Electric is in deed a sterling body of work. Listeners will get to appreciate Anderson’s ability to create engaging tunes, his guitar skills fully on showcase.
Stream the whole album and, if you still can’t get enough, check out the rest of artist’s catalogue on Spotify. You can also follow Hamish Anderson on Instagram.
