From Soundcloud link-up to a ‘fire track’, UK hip-hop producer Soulone Beats and Californian emcee Verum‘s collaboration is an illustration of creativity transcending barriers. The record they made is named “David Sling” and it materialized after Soulone turned to the streaming platform seeking the right rapper for a beat he’d crafted. Verum then embraced the opportunity and got to showcase his admirable lyrical ability. Over a soulful boombap instrumental, he raps introspectively about his journey as an artist.
